Solar is a real upfront cost, but calling it too expensive misses the point. A solar system is not a bill, it is a purchase that lowers your electricity costs for decades. Over its 25-plus-year life, a well-sized system typically pays back its cost and then keeps saving. The right question is not the sticker price, it is the total cost over time, and by that measure solar is usually the cheaper path.
Thinking about solar for your home?
SunVolt Club gives you a 250 EUR credit, a 48h energy assessment and member pricing, for 99 EUR a year.
Upfront cost or long-term savings?
The upfront number looks large because you are paying once for many years of electricity in advance. Every kilowatt-hour your panels produce is one you do not buy from the grid. As energy prices rise, that saving grows. We avoid promising a fixed figure, because it depends on your roof and consumption, but in many cases the system pays for itself well within its warranty period and produces free electricity long after.
How do member benefits change the maths?
SunVolt Club is built to bring the entry cost down. A 99 euro yearly membership includes a 250 euro credit toward a system, plus member pricing and group-buying rounds where combined demand lowers equipment prices. Stacked together, these reduce the real cost of going solar, often by more than the membership itself.
- 250 euro member credit applied to your system price
- Member pricing on installation
- Group-buying rounds that lower equipment costs
- A professional energy assessment, report in 48 hours, to see your own orientative numbers
What if I cannot pay it all at once?
You do not have to. Financing and instalments are available for the solar system through our banking partners, so you can spread the cost of the installation over time. One thing is important and never changes: financing applies only to the system, never to the 99 euro membership fee. The membership stays a simple one-time payment.
So is solar too expensive? For most homes, no. The upfront cost is real, but member benefits lower it, financing spreads it, and the savings outlast it. The honest first step is an energy assessment based on your actual home, so you can compare real, orientative numbers instead of guessing.
